This notice explains what personal data we collect through this site, what we use it for and how you can control it. It follows Mexico's Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties.
Who is responsible for your data
Sueño Escondido, S.A.P.I. de C.V., tax ID (RFC) SES2008039Y4, with registered address at Av. Puebla 200, Col. Zicatela, Brisas de Zicatela, C.P. 70934, Santa María Colotepec, Oaxaca, México, operating the hotel under the raíz Hotel Boutique brand, is responsible for processing the personal data we collect through this site.
What we collect
Data you give us: when you write to the site concierge or leave an enquiry, we collect your name, your email address and, if you provide it, your phone number, along with your message and the dates and number of guests in your enquiry.
Browsing data: we automatically record the page you visit, the page you came from, the language, the device type and a session identifier that is cleared when you close your browser. This helps us understand which content is useful and spot problems.
We do not collect sensitive personal data. We also do not ask for card details on this site: payment, where applicable, happens inside the booking engine, which is a separate service with its own privacy notice.
What we use it for
Necessary purposes: answering your enquiry, preparing and managing your reservation, giving you information about your stay, and meeting any legal and tax obligations that apply.
Secondary purposes: understanding how the site is used so we can improve it and, if you expressly agree, sending you news and offers from the hotel. You may refuse these secondary purposes without it affecting your booking or the service you receive.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for their own commercial purposes. We transfer it only to the providers that make the service work, and only as far as necessary:
· The booking engine, which processes the reservation and the payment.
· The hosting and infrastructure provider for the site and for the database where messages and enquiries are stored.
· Google, for site analytics and the location map.
· Meta, when Instagram content is displayed.
Some of these providers run servers outside Mexico. In every case these are transfers necessary to deliver the service you asked for.
How long we keep it
Messages and enquiries are kept for as long as they are needed to assist you and, afterwards, for the period required by applicable legal obligations. Browsing data is kept in aggregate form for statistical purposes.
Your rights
You have the right to access your personal data, to correct it if it is inaccurate, to have it deleted when you consider it is no longer necessary, and to object to its processing for specific purposes. You may also withdraw your consent at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, write to reservas@raiz-hotel.com stating your name, a way to contact you and which right you wish to exercise. We will reply within the periods set by law.
If you believe your data protection rights have been infringed, you may contact the competent data protection authority.
