Before imagining the hotel, we chose the place.
La Punta Zicatela brings together everything that makes Puerto Escondido special: the ever-present ocean, a creative community, cafés, food, surf and a way of living where rushing takes a back seat. It was here that we understood raíz should not transform its surroundings, but become part of them.

Nothing at raíz is by chance.
The architecture seeks to blend into the landscape, the spaces open onto the vegetation and natural light accompanies you throughout the day. The materials, the textures and every design decision answer the same idea: to create a hotel that feels honest, timeless and deeply connected to the Oaxacan coast.
