It all started when young Spaniards Pier and Ainoa left office life to embark on a new journey: fulfilling their dream of opening a hotel.

Choosing a destination was easy. At that time, Puerto Escondido was already for them what they boast about so much today: a natural and cultural paradise where they could disconnect to connect with what matters . Choosing a plot of land was a little more complicated, they visited several plots without success until, finally, they came across Mr. Felipe's and immediately fell in love with the nature that surrounded the place.

Given the sadness with which the old man said goodbye to his old house on the day of the signing, both promised to move heaven and earth so that that construction would not be demolished and, one day, form part of the structure of the hotel. In December 2022, Raíz opens its doors to all those who understand why the fact that that house is still there is so special for its founders, to all those who are willing to travel looking for something more to learn and grow from, to all those who take life as a journey.

It doesn't matter the destination, the company or the purpose: leaving our comfort zone to discover new cultures and traditions enriches our roots and makes them sprout . After traveling the world for several years, we believe that what counts is that balance between being comfortable and being able to connect with the true essence of a place. For this reason, at Raíz we want all our guests to feel almost at home , and for that to almost become a beautiful and authentic experience that, over time, enriches their journey through life.
